I am a Des Moines, Iowa based freelance videographer with over 10 years of experience. I have done everything from ENG to sports, commercial to documentary, reality TV to political, corporate video, and more.
What started as a hobby in high-school grew into a passion and career as a freelance videographer. My first job in video production was for a small production company that produced a nationally syndicated TV show for PBS. As one person of a three man crew, I learned the ins and outs of our Panasonic DVCPro50 tape workflow. Shooting, editing, sound recording, audio mixing, broadcast specs, and printing tape all became part of the regular day to day.
Three years later, I decided to make the leap to a full time freelance videographer. Since then I have enjoyed shooting video around Iowa, and occasionally around the country.
Freelance has taken me to the pits of the IndyCar Series, to multi billion dollar industrial construction sites. I’ve worked with Hillary Clinton and Ted Cruz. Recorded hundreds of interviews in the medical field and shot video from a bush plane in the north woods of Alaska.
Needless to say, I’m always excited to see where freelance will take me next.
